The office is where the behind the scenes magic of the Festival takes place. Everything that happens in the office- no matter how small or tedious a task- is integral to the excitement and success of the AFF.
AFFA Office Assistant
The AFFA is looking for a volunteer My Gal/Guy Friday, an efficient and effective office assistant. You are a member of the team that pulls all of the bits and pieces together in the weeks and days leading up to the Festival. You have experience in a busy office environment, an excellent telephone manner, are computer literate, fearless in the face of temperamental office equipment, anticipate change and simply love the busy-ness and excitement leading up to a festival. Couriers (both incoming and outgoing), running small errands, photocopiers, faxes, data entry and order, order, order will become your passion.

Festival Office Support
It’s a numbers game – from making up to hundred calls a day to confirm volunteer commitments to accepting and signing for hundreds of packages, you are part of the team that ensures that the hundreds of print films that arrive from all over the world during the Festival get to their screenings on time and that the over one thousand scheduled volunteer shifts have people there to fill them. These seemingly small details are instrumental to the success of the festival. Between outgoing calls and incoming deliveries, you are front of line at the AFFA offices. Additional tasks might include delivering local packages, document preparation, answering phone and walk up inquiries, clipping festival print coverage and taking and distributing phone messages to staff. You must be methodical, calm, dependable and have a friendly manner.
