Halifax, NS, Canada, September 21, 2007 – The awards for the 27th Atlantic Film Festival were presented Friday, September 21 in the Bluenose Room at the Delta Halifax.

Winner: La Voisine (English title: The Neighbour) by Pamela Gallant
Best Atlantic Feature
Winner: Poor Boy’s Game by Clement Virgo
Michael Weir Award for Best Original Screenplay
Winner: Chaz Thorne and Clément Virgo for Poor Boy’s Game
Rex Tasker Documentary Award
Winner: Scouts are Cancelled by John D. Scott
Ed Higginson Cinematography Award
Winner: Christopher Ball for Fid
Best Director
Winner: Chaz Thorne for Just Buried
CBC Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry
