Filmmakers seeking to screen their films at the 29th Atlantic Film Festival, September 16-25, 2010 can do so by either downloading our application form (below) or can complete an online registration form by visiting Without A Box at www.withoutabox.com.
The early bird deadline for submissions is June 4, 2010 with an entry fee of $25. After that the entry fee rises to $30 through to the final deadline of June 25, 2010.

Submission Regulations
Eligibility:
Submissions may be fiction, documentary, animation or experimental of any length. Only films completed no more than 18 months prior to the 29th Altantic Film Festival will be considered for admission. Preference will be given to submissions that have not been distributed theatrically or broadcast on television in the Atlantic region prior to the 2009 Festival.
The Atlantic Film Festival program is generally grouped into nine programming streams beginning with our regional and geographic groupings: Atlantic Focus (Nova
Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland), Canadian Perspectives and International Perspectives. Niche programs include – Late Shift (late
night horror and cult films), Frame x Frame (animation for adults), That’s So Gay (gay and lesbian), ViewFinders @ AFF (children & families), Focus on Ireland and
Germany (Strategic Partners Spotlight Countries) and Special Programs (retrospectives).
For International Participants:
The Atlantic Film Festival will not handle any custom clearances. The Customs Declaration on the submission form should state, "FOR FESTIVAL PREVIEW ONLY, NO COMMERCIAL VALUE".
Entry Format & Presentation Format:
Films with commentary or dialogue in languages other than English must be subtitled or dubbed in English for consideration. Preview copies of entries must be submitted on DVD (Region 1 or 0).
If selected for the Festival, exhibition prints may be presented in 16mm film, 35mm film, Betacam SP NTSC, or DigiBeta NTSC. The Festival will accept other formats on a case-by-case basis and subject to availability of equipment.
