Inspired Script Program Overview
An Inspired Script jury will select four feature film outlines that will be developed into rough first drafts through three intensive weekend sessions under the guidance of Noel Baker, one of Canada’s top story editors. The writers will also have the chance to work with Jan Miller to hone their pitching technique by participating in an abridged version of her renowned Pitcher Perfect workshop. All writers will take part in Inspired Script industry events at the 30th Atlantic Film Festival including the Inspired Script Pitch Event presented by Telefilm Canada where the writers will pitch their feature film idea to a room of industry professionals with the aim of attaching a producer or director to the projects. The presenting sponsor and mentors will then decide on the presentation of the $10,000 Astral Media Harold Greenberg Development Fund.
Last year the prize was awarded to two finalists, Cory Bowles and Jeremy Hull! The chosen project(s) will then receive a live, full read-through with local actors at the Script Out Loud event in 2011.

We are now accepting applications for this year's Inspired Script Program. Please read over the program rules and regulations listed below and note the important dates. Successful applicants MUST be available for all three weekend workshops and any other related events at the 30th Atlantic Film Fesitval in September.

About Inspired Script
Inspired Script offers a unique opportunity for four Atlantic Canadian writers to develop their feature film outlines to treatments and pitch them to a panel of industry professionals at the 29th Atlantic Film Festival. The program winner will be eligible to receive up to $20,000 in development financing and will also receive a live, staged full read-through with local actors at Script Out Loud during the 30th Atlantic Film Festival, September, 2010.
The four outlines, selected by an Inspired Script Jury, will be developed into treatments through three intensive weekend workshops with script editor, Noel Baker and world-renowned pitching expert, Jan Miller.
