You Choose The Winner on the Short Film Face Off Semi Finals
Tune into CBC Television on Wednesday, May 14th at 7 p.m. (AST) for the
Short Film Face Off semi-finals where viewers cast their vote for the winning film from the four finalists.
Join host Matt Rainnie, panelists: Nigel Bennett, Sherry White, Christine McLean and guest panelist Joel Plaskett as they take a last look at the finalist selected from the last four shows.
Voting will open at the end of the show when viewers can call in their vote, or cast it online.
The finalists are:
Former Glories
Evan Kelly (NS)
- Athletes remember their brief but glorious sporting moments.
The Wake of Callum Macleod
Marc Almon (NS)
- A Gaelic wake brings family home to Cape Breton
Backjumping
Jay Dahl (NS)
- Exploring a curious new extreme sport in Backjumping.
The Sparky Book
Mary Lewis (NF)
- A strong bond grows between a girl and her dog in St. John’s NL.
Details on how & where to vote will be released during the show.
Voting closes on May 19th.
The winner will be announced on the final show, Wednesday, May 21, 2008.
