Arkells
Sharing a love of the kind of raw, soulful "Springsteenesqu"
rock that inspires a teen to pick up a guitar and start a band,
the Arkells formed in Hamilton, ON, in 2006. The ambitious and
prolific five-piece quickly found its groove, and recorded debut EP
Deadlines in 2007. From the strum of the first track, the six-song
EP showcased the Arkells masterful blending of traditional blues
hooks mixed with modern rock-laden riffs, and a touch of classic
Motown era rhythms. Since the release of Deadlines the band has
traveled across Canada sharing stages with Bedouin Soundclash,
Matt Mays & El Torpedo, Sam Roberts Band, Constantines,
Alexisonfire, and City and Colour. More recent performances
include a stint opening for legendary rockers Black Crowes,
MTV Live and V-Fest. With live shows fueling the buzz created by
the EP, the band quickly caught the ear of Dine Alone Records
(home to City and Colour, Bedouin Soundclash, Attack in Black
and Black Lungs) who re-released "Deadlines" digitally in March
2008. In 2008, the Arkells released their full length album titled Jackson Square on Dine Alone.

The Novaks, based in St. John's, Newfoundland, formed in 2002.
The band’s eponymous first album was released in Canada by
Sonic Records in 2005. Featuring the singles Goodbye Rock and
Roll Band and I’ll Give You a Ring, the band won the 2006 ECMA
Rising Star of the Year. The song No One Quite Like You was
featured as “"The Coolest Song in The World" on Little Steven’s
Underground Garage. Little Steven released their debut album
in the US on his Wicked Cool Records label in 2006. The much
anticipated follow up, Things Fall Apart was recorded in just over
a week ‘live off the floor’ at The Sonic Temple in Halifax, NS. The
album features Ian McLagan of The Faces on keyboards. The first
single There Goes The Night was recently serviced to radio and a
video shot by Ante Kovac (Arkells, Joel Plaskett, Tragically Hip) has
been added at MuchMore.
DJ Double A
A long-time veteran of the North American dj/producer/remixer
scene, Double A has plied his craft from Cape Town to Tokyo, from
Los Angeles to Montreal, and many points between. Expect a
seamless blend of party jams, from funk, soul and disco to electro,
rock, house, club and more. Don’t expect your standard radio and top
40 fare. Do expect to shake it down... all night long... like Lionel Richie.
About Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day
Ricky, Julian and Bubbles are about to get out of jail, and this time, Julian vows to go straight,
even open a legit business. Soon the Boys will all be rich. At least that’s what they’ve told the parole board. But when they
arrive back at the park, they find it's not the same old Sunnyvale - and it's not the same old Jim Lahey, Trailer Park Supervisor.
Lahey's a new man, hasn't had a drink for two years. And he has plans - BIG PLANS - for Sunnyvale. But unfortunately for Lahey, Julian stands in his way.
With his big plans for Sunnyvale going down the toilet, his relationship with Randy broken down, and having the Boys back in the park is all way too much pressure for him to bear. For Jim Lahey, the countdown to liquor day is on.
Meanwhile, Julian's having problems of his own and the Boys are forced to resort to doing what they know best - breaking the law. Lahey's descent into the liquor coupled with the Boys descent into crime puts them all on a collision course to mayhem and destruction.
