Friends of the Festival
AFFA will be launching Friends of the Festival in the new year. In the meantime we are accepting donations to the ViewFinders Adopt-a-Class program
ViewFinders Adopt-a-Class Program
Send a child to the movies... and to a world of inspiration and opportunity
The Adopt-a-Class Program needs your help in providing students with the chance to experience first-hand the magic of the ViewFinders: International Film Festival for Youth.
ViewFinders is a celebration of the best - both on the screen and behind the scenes. ViewFinders presents national and international films that tackle such issues as bullying, diversity and conflict, while offering fresh perspectives from our own neighbourhoods to backyards abroad. In addition, there are a variety of hands-on workshops providing the groundwork for budding moviemakers and allowing young people to express their own creativity through this unique and exciting festival.
ViewFinders is the largest festivals for youth of its kind in Canada but you don't have to take our word for it. See Participant Feedback about ViewFinders and where some of our ViewFinders Alumni are now.
With a tax-deductible donation of $500, you can send up to 30 students to ViewFinders this April. You can pick the class or we can select from one of the many schools on our waiting list who want to take part but just don't have the resources. Just complete the Adopt-a-Class Form and fax it back to 902-422-4006, or contact our Executive Assistant at 902-420-4791 for more details.

Now more than ever, educational institutions need community organizations to be mentors, leaders and supportive of programs that inspire our youth and provide opportunities for creative expression.
