The Atlantic Film Festival is a champion of Atlantic Canadian filmmakers. In keeping with this promise, every month we profile some of the most incredibly talented people in the filmmaking industry today. This month, we look at Halifax filmmaker Andrea Dorfman.

Andrea's most recent film Heartbeat opens at Cineplex Cinemas Park Lane in Halifax, NS, Friday, November 21.

We caught up with Andrea recently to talk about filmmaking and the making of Heartbeat.

A production of the Atlantic Film Festival, ViewFinders: Atlantic Film Festival For Youth will present a screening of short films at the 14th annual Silver Wave Film Festival at the Centre communautaire Sainte-Anne in Fredericton this Saturday, November 8 at 12 noon. Admission is free.

Congratulations to Like A Motorcycle and Jenna Marks for their winning music video Hands! 10 Atlantic Canadian filmmakers and 10 Atlantic Canadian musicians/bands were paired up to produce 10 music videos over 5-days of on-the-ground shooting and editing. Selected filmmakers and musicians had access to video director mentors, professional film equipment and post-production support during the 5-day program. See what they created at the link below!
