NBC UNIVERSAL FILM CHALLENGE + GREEN SCREEN FILM CHALLENGE

At ViewFinders, we’re really just trying to bring young people and film together. One of our favourite ways to do that is through the Film Challenges: NBC UNIVERSAL FILM CHALLENGE and the GREEN SCREEN FILM CHALLENGE. We like to think of the Film Challenges as a launch pad for young talent, and a bridge to connect you with the film industry.

Each year young ones get together to:

• make their very own movies,
• share their movies on the big screen and
• compete for big money prizes.

FINE PRINT

• Submission is free.
• Individuals and groups may enter. 
• Preview copies accepted ONLY in DVD format.
• Filmmakers may submit as many films as they like.
• All genres of film are welcome, so use that imagination.
• Submitted films must have been completed AFTER April 1, 2011.
• Filmmakers must be under 18 years of age as of submission deadline. 
• All applicable copyrights (music or image) must be secured by filmmakers.
• Film submissions must be under 5 minutes and suitable for an all-ages audience. 
• Finalists receive two complimentary tickets the Film Challenge screening at the 11th ViewFinders.
• Filmmakers must live in one of the four Atlantic Provinces: NB, NS, NFLD and PEI
