2016 Strategic Partners Producer Project Submissions/ Industry Registrations now open!
Strategic Partners 2016 (September 15–17), one of the worlds most established co‐production/co-financing markets invites producers to submit projects, and industry organizations, to register.  In 2016, the focus is on dramatic feature film, television, and digital fiction series projects created for new and emerging platforms. This includes projects in all stages of development, looking for financing and essential partnerships.  Celebrating its 19th anniversary this September, Strategic Partners will include 50 producers from around the globe, representing a ‘best in class’ roster of officially selected projects.  To support these projects, Strategic Partners will host an international senior level delegation of financiers, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents and funding agencies, looking to invest. The deadline is June 26th, 2016. 
ViewFinders Youth Film Competition - Call for Entry

The ViewFinders: Atlantic Film Festival for Youth has just announced its 13th annual Youth Film Competition for Atlantic Canadians ages 18 and under. Presented by DHX Media, the Youth Film Competition is a video competition where participants can submit short films, all of which must be under five minutes long. Top entries are eligible for prizes that will be awarded at a special red carpet screening at Scotiabank Theatre Halifax on Saturday, June 4. Prizes will be awarded in three categories, including animation, live action and documentary as well as a grand prize. Deadline for submissions is Monday, May 9 at 5 p.m.

ViewFinders: Atlantic Film Festival for Youth announces 2016 ViewFinders Tour

ViewFinders: Atlantic Film Festival for Youth, a production of the Atlantic Film Festival, announces its full program for students and teachers taking place at select Cineplex Cinemas throughout the Maritime Provinces during the months of March and April. New this year, in addition to activities in the Halifax Regional Municipality, ViewFinders will offer FREE activities for students and teachers at Cineplex Cinemas in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. Although pre-registration is required, schools attending ViewFinders will only be responsible for the cost of transportation to and from the event.
